Join us for an engaging online workshop where we’ll explore the connection between Christian faith and peacemaking. This session will involve thoughtful reflection and hands-on activities. You’ll gain practical tools to promote peace, tackle divisions, and lead with compassion and integrity in today’s divided world. With breakout sessions, group discussions, and case studies, you’ll walk away with strategies to address divisions and lead with compassion and integrity in a polarized world.

This workshop is tailored for:

  • Young adult leaders seeking to build leadership skills, particularly in an election season and aftermath. 
  • Community leaders working in nonprofit, activism, and corporate leadership.
  • Teachers in high schools, and professors in undergraduate and graduate institutions.
  • Church leaders and pastoral staff who are guiding congregations through divisive times.

Eddie Olewinski Headshot

Eddie Olewinksi, Workshop Leader

Eddie Olewinski is a graduate student at Georgetown University, specializing in National Security and Emergency Management. He completed the George Washington University Homeland Security Program and earned a BA and BS from DePaul University, where he studied political science, and Catholic studies. Eddie has extensive experience in emergency management at the local, county, and state levels, with a focus on a whole community approach. Guided by Christian virtues and a dedication to serving others, he is committed to fostering resilience and hope in his community. His work centers on preventing domestic terrorism, violent extremism, and radicalization among young adults. Eddie is also the co-founder of “Talk With Me: Debate to Deflate Hate,” a community initiative that combats misinformation and hate speech by teaching debate skills to educators, student mentors, and community leaders nationwide. Eddie served as one of the Polaris Leadership Network’s inaugural advisors.
